As Lead Software Test Engineer, you will lead the design, installation, configuration, and management of the Test Engineering server/network infrastructure and overall system architecture, including applications and databases.

Key Responsibilities
- Test Strategy: Develop and implement test strategies and plans for software systems. Define test objectives, scope, and criteria based on project requirements and specifications.
- Test Execution: Lead the execution of manual and automated tests, including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing. Ensure thorough coverage of software components and features.
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of software test engineers. Provide guidance on best practices, test methodologies, and troubleshooting techniques. Oversee the progress of testing activities and ensure timely completion.
- Issue Identification: Identify, document, and prioritize software defects and issues. Collaborate with development teams to diagnose and resolve problems. Track issues through to resolution and ensure quality standards are met.
- Test Automation: Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks. Enhance test automation processes to increase efficiency and coverage. Integrate automated tests into continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports. Ensure that all testing activities are accurately documented and comply with industry standards.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in testing processes and methodologies. Identify opportunities to enhance test effectiveness, efficiency, and coverage.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 4+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior role. Proven experience with manual and automated testing techniques.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG). Experience with test automation and CI/CD processes.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team of test engineers. Excellent project management and team coordination skills.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify, diagnose, and resolve complex software issues.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly and interact effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Must be able to obtain a Secret and/or a TS/SCI clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 6+ years of experience in software testing, including significant experience in a lead or management role. Experience in aerospace or high-tech industries is a plus.
- Advanced Skills: Expertise in advanced testing techniques, including performance testing, security testing, and load testing. Experience with additional test automation tools and frameworks.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in software testing or quality assurance (e.g., ISTQB Advanced Level, Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA)) are a plus.
- Industry Experience: Familiarity with aerospace or space technology sectors, including understanding of software testing needs for complex and mission-critical systems.
- Innovation: Proven track record of driving improvements in testing processes and implementing innovative testing solutions.
