Key Responsibilities

  • Quality Management: Develop and implement quality management strategies and programs for the supply chain. Ensure that quality standards are maintained throughout the procurement, production, and delivery processes.
  • Supplier Quality: Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality criteria. Conduct supplier audits, monitor supplier performance, and work with suppliers to address and resolve quality issues. Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies related to supply chain quality. Conduct reviews and audits to verify adherence to quality requirements.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements within the supply chain quality management system. Lead initiatives to enhance quality processes, reduce defects, and improve efficiency.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with procurement, production, and engineering teams to address quality issues and ensure that quality requirements are integrated into supply chain operations. Provide support and guidance on quality-related matters.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality documentation, including supplier quality records, audit reports, and quality metrics. Prepare and present quality reports to management.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in quality management within supply chain operations, with a strong track record of managing supplier quality and quality assurance processes.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with quality management tools and methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean, Root Cause Analysis). Familiarity with supply chain management principles and practices.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify, diagnose, and address quality issues effectively.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in managing quality processes and documentation.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with suppliers, internal teams, and management.
  • Must be able to obtain a Secret and/or a TS/SCI clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Education: Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in quality management within supply chain operations, with experience in aerospace or high-tech industries preferred.
  • Advanced Skills: Expertise in advanced quality management techniques and tools. Experience with quality management for aerospace or space technology systems.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications in quality management or supply chain management (e.g., Certified Quality Manager (CQM), Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)) are a plus.
  • Industry Experience: Familiarity with aerospace or space technology sectors, including understanding of quality requirements for complex and mission-critical systems.
  • Innovation: Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and implement innovative solutions in supply chain quality management.
