About Verse Medical
We’re building the software infrastructure that enables hospital-quality care, at home. As healthcare costs have increased, the patient’s home has become incredibly important as a site of care.
Yet, patients recovering at home are highly underserved. Patients can only get better at home if they receive the high-quality care that they need reliably. The existing in-home care process involves patchwork of different vendors, all connected through faxes by nurses. We’re building modern, robust software that solves this challenge. We currently work with patients and hospitals across the United States.
We’re backed by some of the best investors in technology and healthcare and have ambitious expansion plans. It’s a particularly exciting time to join the company as we’re aggressively expanding the team.
Why this role:
- Verse is one of the fastest growing companies within digital health. Weʼre very well-capitalized (i.e. have many years of runway) and are growing every team.
- This is the first product hire at Verse. Weʼre making the hire fairly late because weʼve traditionally relied on hiring very product-minded engineers and our CEO has acted as the primary PM. This has worked well so far, but weʼre ready to formalize & scale our product efforts. As a result, this role has incredibly wide scope and covers all of Verseʼs offerings.
What youʼll do in this role:
- Define & own the product roadmap & strategy. Work closely with the CEO to turn the product vision into a clearly articulated plan.
- Deeply understand the details of our industry, the problems we are solving within healthcare and Verseʼs strategic priorities.
- Work with our engineering and design team to build the product.
- Talk to external (i.e. customers) and internal (i.e. operations, revenue cycle, sales, customer success, etc.) stakeholders to figure out what to build.
- Deliver measurable business outcomes through product development.
- Eventually help build the product management team at Verse. Youʼll play a huge rule in defining the product management culture & recruiting process.
What we are looking for:
- 8+ years of product management experience in a high-growth, B2B environment. Compensation for this role will scale based on experience.
- Experience working in a complex, regulated space, ideally with a product tied to human operational processes.
- Experience managing and leading a team.
- Exceptional written & verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills, ideally some experience with SQL or similar analytical tools.
- Exceptional ability to reason through problems in a structured manner.
- Demonstrated ability to think through tradeoffs & consequences of various product decisions on business objectives.
- Willingness to operate as an IC at first, gradually building the team around you as we scale.
- (Preferred) Software engineering experience, a computer science, engineering or math degree, or equivalent technical background.
