About the role

Role overview

We’re looking for a product designer (UI/UX) to help design new features in our core product while our lead designer is on leave from October to February.

What we’re looking for

We see design as an integral part of the product development process - not a final step at the end to produce pretty Figma mocks.

In this role, you’ll be working directly with our engineers and co-founders to design new features. Early in the process you’ll provide feedback to help shape how the feature should work. Later in the process you’ll be responsible for delivering final designs in Figma. As we actually build the features, you’ll collaborate with engineers directly to iterate on the designs based on their feedback as well as customers.

Because this role is collaborative, we expect you to spend 2-5 hours per week in our virtual office working side-by-side with us as we try to build awesome products.

Types of features you will design

  • Analytics dashboard - how might we give our users more visibility into their syncing?

  • Alerts - how might we make it easier for our users to handle data that can’t be synced?

  • Postgres onboarding - how might we make it insanely easy to connect a Postgres database?

About the role

Timing

  • 5-20 hrs/week

  • Starting around mid-October but flexible

Tools we use

Remote restrictions

  • Workday must overlap by at least 5 hours with San Francisco, CA, USA
