About the Role

We are hiring a Senior Product Marketing Manager, Consumer to report to our VP of Growth. This is an on-site role based in our Brooklyn, New York office.

What does the role look like?

You’ll be joining Whop as a Senior Product Marketing Manager, Consumer, directly supporting our VP of Growth. The ideal candidate will possess an exceptional balance of analytical, communication, and organizational skills, with an acute desire to build in a fast-paced / ambiguous start-up environment and drive operational improvements.

The primary objective of the Sr. Product Marketing Manager - Consumer is to drive product positioning that supports acquisition, activation and monetization strategies. This role will focus on understanding consumer needs, developing compelling narratives, and executing go-to-market plans to achieve growth and retention goals.

Your first 90 days will look like the following:

  • Within 30 days, you will deliver clear positioning for each of the prioritized verticals at Whop. You will have completed a mapping exercise of User personas with prioritized verticals.
  • Within 60 days, you will have kicked off Growth Marketing repositioning with a defined value proposition based on consumer research. Will will have kicked off PMM hypotheses to increase Activation rates in partnership with User PM
  • Within 90 days, you will have completed overall repositioning of Whop towards PR efforts. You will own detailed consumer insights that inform product development and future marketing strategies.

Who you are

  • You have owned the GTM of key features against multiple audiences and subsequent activation rates for those features.
  • You have crafted compelling product narratives and messaged that target key user personas.
  • Experience in successfully launching and scaling consumer products with measurable impact on key performance metrics
  • Experience working with Jira, Linear, Google Analytics, Iterable or other CRM tech stack, Metabase/Tableau/Sigma or similar dashboarding tools
  • CMS tools experience

What you will be doing

  • Developing and executing go-to-market strategies: You will bring us from basic execution (baseline) to clear user personas, motivations and value proposition in user acquisition, activation, and engagement by creating and implementing effective marketing campaigns.
  • Driving consumer research and insights: You have figured out the key drivers of user behavior and can influence product development and PR efforts through your findings.
  • Managing cross-functional marketing programs: You oversee the day-to-day operations of integrated marketing campaigns across various channels.
  • Collaborating with Product to align marketing strategies with Product roadmaps.
  • Analyzing market trends and consumer insights to refine marketing strategies.
  • Developing and executing digital marketing campaigns across Growth Marketing Channels and Lifecycle
  • Monitoring, optimizing and reporting campaign performance and user insights while being autonomous using analytics tools.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of Product Marketing (PMM) experience across multi-faceted products, with a strong track record of launching and scaling successful products.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to synthesize complex data sets and information into actionable insights and process enhancements.
  • Strategic thinking skills, with a track record of proactively finding solutions to ambiguous and/or complex problems.
  • Previous involvement in cross-functional collaboration, particularly with Executives from Sales, Marketing, and Finance teams.
  • Preference for a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
