About the role:
Be part of a team that is defining the landscape of AI. Join our custom circuits team where you will collaborate with circuit design, CAD, and physical design to create the most area-efficient, low-power, high performance compute in memory solution in the industry.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the IC Design team to develop process flows and timelines for taking custom circuit designs and delivering high fidelity layouts. Includes design guidelines, review processes and sign-off
- Create high fidelity layouts for custom compute and memory circuits
- Understand context aware design implementation and how to move through design development effectively and efficiently
- Target metrics with obsessive and aggressive attention to PPA
- Ensure circuit creation meets required verification: lvs, drc, erc, softcheck
- Understand and implement sufficient power distribution
- Work in a dynamic team environment, thrive under pressure, and deliver uncompromising results on time
- 8+ years of relevant experience in layout for advanced FinFET nodes (7nm, 5nm etc.)
- Experience leading layouts of complex custom deliverables for at least 2 successful tape-outs with memory macros
- Demonstrate a pragmatic approach to evaluating design tradeoffs and optimizations when making design decisions
- Be highly collaborative for development, but also display self-sufficiency to close defined tasks independently
- Deep expertise in methods for layouts of custom digital and mixed-signal circuit layout using the latest industry advancements
- Proficiency in using industry-standard layout design software, including Cadence Virtuoso, Custom Compiler, Calibre, ICV, Totem, and version control
- Familiarity with industry standard custom, semi-custom and fully automated design flows are a plus
- Project management skills; experience organizing staged deliverables, being able to clearly articulate design objectives and specifications, building efficient processes and resolving conflict in technical work for best outcome
- Exhibit a high degree of motivation and independence
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
